DeakinPrime has relocated to a newer, more spacious purpose-built premises at 550 Bourke Street, Melbourne. Deakin University Melbourne City Centre has been established to offer an important means for the University to engage with its external communities, especially to facilitate partnerships with industry, governments and the professions. It optimises its Melbourne central business district location and builds an integrated network with the life of the surrounding city. The day-to-day management of this state-of-the-art premises is handled by our corporate services team – comprising four dynamic team members: Lisa Ashton, Tracy Pook, Ebony Brown and Claire Jarvis.
What is your role at DeakinPrime?
Lisa: Corporate Services Coordinator
Tracy: Corporate Events Coordinator
Ebony: Corporate Events Assistant
Claire: Corporate Services Assistant
What is the primary focus of the corporate services team?
Lisa: Ensuring that DeakinPrime staff, Deakin University staff and visitors to the Deakin University Melbourne City Centre (DUMCC) have everything they require with regards to their administration and corporate hospitality needs.
DeakinPrime has recently moved location to 550 Bourke Street Melbourne, what are some of your favourite features in this new location?
Tracy: Moving to the new premises has allowed us to offer so much more to our staff and Deakin University. Entering Level three, you feel like you are walking into a welcoming environment where you can have meetings, with an abundance of natural light and the aroma of Nespresso coffee!
What do you enjoy the most in what you do at DeakinPrime?
Claire: Providing people with an enjoyable DeakinPrime/DUMCC experience, resulting in them securing their next booking before they even walk out the door!
What does 2011 hold for you both personally and professionally?
Ebony: Only time will tell! We might need to fit out a few more floors the way these bookings are coming in!
