This Diploma program is designed to provide project practitioners with the opportunity to prove their capability through their project work.
Participants that have attended the three Engineering Education Australia short courses, can continue through the DeakinPrime assessment process This process is comprised of a series of Workplace Improvement Projects (WIPs) that allow you to demonstrate your capability, easily and efficiently.
The competencies are relevant and up-to-date. Each unit of competence addresses a particular project management function, and include time management, finances, quality management, human resource management, communications, procurement and risk management in the context of projects and programs.

The three WIPs use a 'proving competency' assessment approach. As such, each WIP requires participants to complete a range of project-based workplace activities and the submission of answers to set questions and a portfolio of evidence.
The questions are designed to encourage you to investigate and implement the relevant processes and documentation used in your environment for the specific project management functions and identify areas for improvement. The portfolio provides evidence of the application of your skills and knowledge of these competencies within the workplace.
In this way, you can be sure that your activities comply with the assessment requirements of the competency package in that it ensures your knowledge and skills are clearly demonstrated to our assessors and that your skills match the standard of performance required in the workplace.
